What is Cry Wolf?
Cry Wolf is a free, browser-based multiplayer social deduction game based on the classic Werewolf (also known as Mafia) party game. No downloads, no accounts, no app stores — just create a game, share the link with friends, and start playing in seconds.
The game works on any device with a web browser — phones, tablets, laptops, desktops. Perfect for parties, video calls, game nights, classrooms, or any time you want to test who among your friends is the best liar.
How It Works
Each player is secretly assigned a role: Wolf or Flock. The wolves know who each other are, but the flock doesn't know who to trust. The game alternates between night and day phases:
- •Night: Wolves secretly choose a victim to eliminate.
- •Day: Everyone discusses who they think the wolves are, then votes to eliminate a suspect.
- •Win condition: Flock wins by finding all wolves. Wolves win by outnumbering the flock.
Why We Built It
We love social deduction games, but existing online versions were either clunky, required downloads, or were full of intrusive ads. We wanted something that felt as easy as sending a link — like Drawasaurus or Skribbl.io, but for Werewolf.
