Wolf Count by Group Size
The number of wolves dramatically affects game balance. Too few wolves and the game is too easy for the flock. Too many and the wolves win before anyone has a chance to figure it out.
| Players | Wolves | Balance |
|---|---|---|
| 4-5 | 1 | Quick games, good for learning |
| 6-7 | 1-2 | Classic feel, well balanced |
| 8-9 | 2 | Sweet spot — highly recommended |
| 10-12 | 2-3 | Longer games, more deduction |
| 13-16 | 3-4 | Party mode, chaotic and fun |
